On the 16th day of February 2019, Sensei Ken Kitaoka and Ayumu Oda taught at the JKI General training Camp at Honbu dojo City of Imus, Cavite, Philippines.
Sensei Ayumu Oda introduced Itosu-ryu Official Basic Katas “Kihon 1-10” to junior students. He also had a kata clinic of Pinan series and some advanced katas, such as Bassai-Dai and Unsh for Blackbelt students. He explained about the correct fundamental movement of the style, which was necessary in our training. Moreover, Sensei Kitaoka Ken taught his unique kumite technique that applicable in WKF kumite rules.
EATING LUNCH WITH THE GROUP
We had a group lunch with the supporting parents/guardians and students in the premises after rigid training. This is for building our better relationships and in return for geting a closer team.
LEARNING THE PATH OF ITOSU-RYU STYLE
It’s honor to have two Japanese teachers training with us. Their knowledge and wisdom they shared are something worth it in one day! I will continue to propagate the way of Soke Sadaaki Sakagami’s Itosu-ryu style in my country.
